
DRESS CODE
A consistent dress code ensures dancers can move freely and helps create a professional classroom environment. Please follow these guidelines for all classes:
By Program
Tiny Tots (Girls)
Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes, any color leotard, ballet pink tights. (attached skirt allowed)
Tiny Tots (Boys)
Black ballet shoes or black jazz shoes. Black sweatpants and any solid color T-shirt.
PreDance & KinderCombo (Girls)
Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes, caramel buckle tap shoes, any color leotard,
ballet pink tights
PreDance & KinderCombo (Boys)
Black leather jazz shoes, black oxford tap shoes. Black
sweatpants and any
solid color T-shirt.
Leveled Classes
Jazz & Musical Theater & Jazz Pom: Solid Black colored leotard (any style) with caramel tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard), caramel slip-on jazz shoes
Tap: Solid Black color leotard (any style) with caramel tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard), black tie oxford tap shoes.
Lyrical/Contemporary: Solid Black colored leotard (any style) with caramel tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard) barefoot or half-sole canvas shoes
Ballet: Solid Black colored leotard (any style), ballet pink tights, canvas split-sole ballet shoes; optional ballet skirt. Ballet sweaters only for warm-up (must be removed when transitioning to the barre). Boys wear black dance pants, a solid white or black colored t-shirt,
and black canvas ballet shoes.
Hip Hop: Solid Black colored leotard (any style) with caramel tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard) and white sneakers dedicated to dance class only.

Tumbling/Acro: Solid Black colored leotard (any style) with caramel stirrup or convertible tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard) bare feet.
​
All Competition Rehearsals: Solid Black leotard (any style) with caramel tights (black dance shorts are permitted over tights and leotard) plus correct shoes for each style.


More Details

Hair - Up and neatly secured away from the face for all Leveled classes. A bun is required for all ballet classes and encouraged for others.

Tiny Tots, PreDance, and KinderCombo require hair pulled back off face in a neat bun or ponytail.

No underwear under leotards.

No street clothes – Jeans, baggy sweatshirts or sweatpants, T-shirts, Tank Tops andother non-dance apparel are not permitted in class.

Shoes – Appropriate shoes are required for each style (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, etc.).

Jewelry – Keep accessories minimal for safety. No hoop or dangling earrings please.

If a dancer is not in dress code, parents will be notified. Older students receive one warning; repeat issues may result in the dancer sitting out until dressed properly.

To minimize distractions no sport watches in class.
