DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS
Effective September 2010
Tiny Tots - Capezio Ballet Shoes 205C (Pink), any colored leotard and Ballet Pink tights. Skirts MUST be attached to leotard.
Pre-Dance and KinderCombo - Capezio Ballet Shoes 205C (Pink) & Capezio Mary JaneTap Shoes 3800 (Black leather), any color leotard and Ballet Pink tights. Skirts MUST be attached to leotard. All hair pulled up.
Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary - Dance Paws DP1 (match to skin color), any color leotard and Light Suntan stirrup tights or bare legs with body fitting shorts. NO dancing in socks will be allowed.
Tap Levels 1 & 2 - Capezio Mary Jane Tap Shoe 3800 (Black Leather), any color leotard, black/tan tights or bare legs with body fitting shorts/capris.
Tap Levels 3 & up - Leo's Black Gore Boot Tap Shoe 5068 (Black), any color leotard, black/tan tights or bare legs with body fitting shorts/capris.
Ballet Levels 1-3: Pink, all leather, split sole Ballet shoes, any color leotard, ballet pink tights (no holes), no shorts. Hair must be pulled back in a tight, neat bun, utilizing a hair net.
Ballet Levels 4 & 5: Same requirements of Level 1-3, however tight fitting black knit shorts optional.
Hip Hop - Capezio Black Dance Sneakers, any loose fitting and comfortable clothing. No Jeans!
Boys for all classes – appropriate shoes, solid color t-shirt and shorts/pants
Additional Requirements: Hair is to be pulled back and off of face (including bangs) for all classes. Hair is to be pulled back into a neat bun for all Ballet classes and Pre-Dance Classes. No underwear allowed for any class. Dancewear will be worn for all classes. No T-Shirts, Tank Tops, Sweatpants or street clothes are allowed for ANY class or competition rehearsal (with the exception of Hip Hop).
The first full week of every month we will have “Uniform Week”. Every class for the week will be required to wear the same thing. It is a tremendous help to the teachers to see their students dress the same so they are not distracted by colors, patterns etc, when looking to correct technique. (This includes Competition Rehearsals.)
